The Kiwanis Club of Greater Poulsbo recently held a community-driven park cleanup party at Betty Iverson Kiwanis Park, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining and enhancing public spaces for the enjoyment of all residents. This event, held on a bright and sunny day, brought together Kiwanis members and volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to revitalizing the beloved local park.
The cleanup efforts were extensive and covered various areas of the park. Members of the Kiwanis Club painted the picnic tables, giving them a fresh and vibrant look just in time for the summer season. Meanwhile, others rolled up their sleeves to clean and scrub the playground equipment, ensuring it remains safe and inviting for the children who frequent the park.
In addition to the painting and cleaning, volunteers also tackled overgrown vegetation. They trimmed trees, cleaned back bushes, and removed debris, creating a more open and welcoming environment for park visitors. The hard work put in by the Kiwanis Club members has improved the aesthetic appeal of Betty Iverson Kiwanis Park and made it a safer and more enjoyable space for families and community members.
“We’re incredibly proud of the work our members have done here at Betty Iverson Kiwanis Park,” said Terri Marshall, Club President. “This park is a special place for our community, and it’s important to us to keep it well-maintained and beautiful. We hope everyone who visits the park will enjoy the improvements we’ve made.”
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Poulsbo has a long history of serving the community, and this park cleanup is just one example of their ongoing efforts to give back. Betty Iverson Kiwanis Park, named in honor of a dedicated local Kiwanian, continues to be a focal point for the club’s community service projects.
The Kiwanis Club encourages all residents to visit Betty Iverson Kiwanis Park and enjoy the freshly cleaned and revitalized space. They also invite anyone interested in community service to join their efforts in future projects and events.
