Kiwanis members volunteer for the NKHS Booster Club, grilling hamburgers at a North Kitsap High School football game, and support the team and community with delicious food and great energy.
At the Kiwanis Club of Greater Poulsbo, our mission is to serve the community and make a lasting impact through various service projects and initiatives. Our club is dedicated to improving the lives of people in our community, with a special focus on supporting youth, enhancing public spaces, and fostering a spirit of camaraderie and cooperation among residents.
Key Activities:
Community Service Projects: From park cleanups to assisting with local food drives, we actively participate in projects that help maintain and beautify our community. Our members are hands-on, tackling everything from painting picnic tables to trimming trees and ensuring our public spaces are safe and welcoming.
Youth Programs: We work closely with local schools and youth organizations, such as the NKHS Key Club, to mentor and support the next generation of leaders. Our club is passionate about empowering young people through educational programs, leadership opportunities, and community service involvement.
Fundraising and Charity Events: We organize and participate in fundraising events to support local charities and causes. Whether it’s ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the holiday season or hosting events to raise money for community projects, our efforts aim to provide resources and support to those who need it most.
Partnerships and Collaborations: We believe in the power of partnerships to amplify our impact. Our collaborations with local businesses, schools, and other organizations help us to extend our reach and bring about positive change in Poulsbo.
Promoting Volunteerism: We encourage community members to get involved and make a difference. Our club is always open to new members who are passionate about giving back. We provide a welcoming environment where volunteers can contribute their time, talents, and resources to meaningful causes.
Through these activities and more, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Poulsbo strives to build a stronger, more connected community. We are dedicated to making Poulsbo a better place to live, work, and play, one project at a time.
